Grief Recovery Counselor & Author Mary Buddemeyer, Ph.D.
Dr. Mary Buddemeyer-Porter, a foremost authority on animal immortality, is the author of the Amazon Christian best seller "Will I See Fido in Heaven?" She is also the author of other pet loss books and the creative force behind Christian and educational music CDs and DVDs including the new poignant and inspiring documentary "Animals in Paradise".
Mary has a Bachelor of Arts in music from Maryville University and a Master of Arts in teaching from Webster University both in St. Louis, Missouri. She holds a Ph.D in creation theology from Crossroads Theological Seminary in Tallahassee, Florida. Mary is a member of ASCAP and a Regional Emmy nominated songwriter and television producer. She has taught music education, science, and choreography in schools from elementary through college and has also conducted music education seminars. Mary is co-creator of the wonderful “Land of Music” music education/theater arts program that is taught in schools throughout the United States.
She has appeared on national television, radio, magazines and newspapers on the subject of animal immortality. She also speaks at conventions, churches and animal related organizations. Dr. Buddemeyer-Porter has devoted over twenty years of research in the field of animal immortality. Her message is three-fold: biblical evidence of the heavenly restoration of all animals below man, the humane treatment of all creatures, and the message that man can be with his pets in heaven.
Mary devotes much time counseling those who have lost pets and helping various animal related organizations in the rescue of animals.
She resides in Wichita Falls, Texas and her family consists of two sons, grandchildren and several canine rescues.
