Grief Recovery Specialist Lou Olinger, M.S.
Lou Olinger received her Master of Science Degree in Business and Human Relations from Amberton University in Garland, Texas. She has been certified as a Grief Recovery Specialist, by the
. Ms. Olinger counsels pertaining to any loss, and has conducted seminars and facilitated classes on grief.
Ms. Olinger has appeared on Television on various programs with Dr. Pomerance regarding Pet Grief. She has been a Pet Grief Counselor through the SPCA of Texas for approximately 10 years. She has been involved in animal welfare for over 15 years as a volunteer at the SPCA of Texas, working with the dogs toward placing them in a new home. She also has a Pet Rescue Group and spends many hours a week saving dogs from the North Texas Animal Controls, taking care of any required health issues and then placing them into adoptable, loving homes. Ms. Olinger has had a total of 18 dogs, 11 of which are currently in her home. They are all rescue dogs.
Ms. Olinger’s Delta Society certified Assisted Therapy Dog, named Molly, attends grief counseling sessions, bringing her unique healing abilities and unconditional love to every session. Ms. Olinger and Molly have visited various nursing homes in the DFW Area for the last eight years, bringing smiles to all that meet them.
Ms. Olinger has previously been involved in EEO counseling for various Federal Government Agencies, at various locations throughout the United States.
